Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Music for a Sunday Afternoon concert series at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church, Danville Pa, presents Leslie Cullen, flutist, at 4 pm on Sunday, October 13.
Leslie Cullen is the flutist with the internationally acclaimed, Grammy-winning Paragon Ragtime Orchestra. A highly esteemed educator, she is the flute instructor at Susquehanna University and an Artist Affiliate at Bucknell University. Ms. Cullen holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Carol Wincenc, and The Juilliard School, where she was a student of Samuel Baron.
The program includes music by Mozart and Poulenc, Aubade by Christian Humcke composed for Leslie Cullen, and Claude Bolling's Suite for Flue and Jazz Piano with pianist, Gary Boerckel.
October's concert benefits The Feed a Friend Thanksgiving Food Drive which is a collaboration between The Good Samaritan Mission, the Danville School District, Shiloh UCC and Danville Riverside Food bank.
